Liam & Elly’s South West wedding weekender

Liam and Elly pulled together this epic weekend long celebration in only a few short months, which really isn’t suprising considering Liam is one of those people who seems to know everyone who’s anyone, and managed to wrangle some amazing suppliers together to help out. From some of WA’s top chefs to create an epic feast, to the friend who owned the Airbnb, the brother in law who supplied a tonne of cheese, Elly’s friend from school who was the celebrant, and the friends in the drinks industry (must try the Margarita Fizz by Idle Hands Drinks Co!), and of course, me! Liam and I use to be housemates back in the day, so it was the biggest honour to be asked to capture their wedding. It all came together in one of the most love filled, teary eyed, heart full celebrations.

The weekend started with welcome drinks at Eagle Bay Brewery on Friday, the perfect venue to watch the sun go down. Wedding day rolled around and the boys kicked it off with an icy cold swim at the beach in Dunsborough, while the girls opted for a slightly warmer and more chilled out morning before popping the champagne. The ceremony, held by the river in the backyard of the Dunsborough Airbnb, was full of tears, laughter and Hugo the dog stealing the show walking down the aisle. Liam, Elly and I snuck away for photos along the beautiful South West Coastline near Meelup Beach, before heading back to join the party. Obviously it was an epic dance floor with DJ Aslan on the decks.

This was one of those weddings that left me feeling full to the brim with so much love in the room. They incorporated only things that were important to them and focused on having a fun filled, no fuss, good food and good company kind of day, my favourite type of wedding to capture.
