Morgan & Sean’s adventurous Karratha elopement

We hit the road in Sean & Morgans 4WD, taking a dirt turnoff somewhere between Karratha and Dampier to a location they visit as a family. As I bounced around in the back seat, I was giddy at the sight of the Pilbara’s red rocks and rugged landscape, not something we see much of in Perth. We pulled off near a small gorge where Morgan and Sean put the finishing touched on their outfits. As I was snapping away, I probably yelled “this is so beautiful” more times than I can count. I’m a sucker for a new off the beaten path location, especially when it’s in parts of Western Australia I don’t normally travel to. How lucky are we to live in this beautiful state!

Given that these guys had officially tied the knot prior, we were able to spend this adventurous elopement session relaxing, popping champagne, and chasing echidnas in between photos. Incorporating an adventure session with your elopement is the perfect way to ensure a stress free day where you can have fun, explore new places and take your time with just the two of you.

We then jumped back in the car and drove out to a secret beach where they frequent for fishing, just in time to catch the last light and watch the sun set over the ocean (and spot a few kangaroos!). As we drove back into town, the fiery red skies came to life in the rearview mirror. Pilbara sunsets really are next level.

Sessions like this make my heart happy, and I can’t wait to get up to the Pilbara again soon for more adventurous Elopements!

Morgan and Sean showed us that you don’t have to spend big to look good on your Elopement.
